Vallhund, n. (ˈvælhʌnd, ‖ ˈvalhʊnd) [a. Sw. vallhund shepherd dog, f. vall pasture + hund dog.] A breed of sturdy, short-coated dog, resembling and related to the Pembrokeshire corgi, and used as a herding dog in Sweden; a dog of this breed. Also called Swedish Vallhund.
