ilmenorutile Min.|ˌɪlmənəʊˈruːtaɪl, -ɪl| [ad. G. ilmenorutil (N. von Kokscharow Materialen zur Mineralogie Russlands (1854–7) II. 352): see ilmenite and rutile.] A black variety of rutile containing iron, niobium, and tantalum.
