implacental, a. and n. Zool.|ɪmpləˈsɛntəl| [f. im-2 + placental (f. placenta + -al1); cf. mod.L. Implacentālia neut. pl., name of the group.] A. adj. Having no placenta, a term applied to the group of mammals consisting of the marsupials and monotremes (Implacentalia).
