impresario (‖ impreˈzario, now usu. ˌɪmprɪˈsɑːrɪəʊ) Also erroneously impressario. [It. impresario the undertaker of any business, contractor, etc., f. impresa: see prec.] One who organizes public entertainments; esp. the manager of an operatic or concert company.
