† inconˈsistible, a. Obs. [f. in-3 + consistible.] That cannot consist; inconsistent.
1660R. Coke Justice Vind. Pref. 5, I was amazed to see such inconsistible and impossible things to come from Men, otherwise so learned. a1734North Exam. iii. viii. §59. 629 It hath a ridiculous Phiz, like the Fable of the old Man, his Ass, and a Boy, before the inconsistible Vulgar.
