† inconˈsutile, a. Obs. rare. [ad. late L. inconsūtilis (Vulg., John xix. 23) not sewed together, without seam, f. in- (in-3) + consūtilis consutile, f. consuĕre, consūt- to sew together.] Disagreeing, incongruous (like ‘a piece of new cloth sewed on an old garment’, Matt. ix. 16).
