ambisonic, n. and a.|æmbɪˈsɒnɪk| [f. ambi- + sonic a., sonics n. pl.] A. n. pl. (const. as sing.) A system of (usu. high-fidelity) sound reproduction which uses two or more channels and four or more speakers in such a way that the effect of indirect sound can be reproduced in addition to other directional properties.
