victorin, n. Biochem.|ˈvɪktərɪn| [f. mod.L. victoriae, specific epithet of the fungus Drechslera (formerly Helminthosporium) victoriae (named after the Victoria variety of oats, which is susceptible to it) + -in1.] A toxin produced by the fungus Drechslera victoriae, the causative agent of a blight in some susceptible varieties of oats.
