vuagnatite Min.|ˈvwɑːnjətaɪt| [f. the name of M. Vuagnat (b. 1922), Swiss petrologist + -ite1.] A basic silicate of calcium and aluminium, CaAl(OH)SiO4, found as white, usu. anhedral, orthorhombic crystals.
