vygie S. Afr.|ˈfeɪxɪ| [Afrikaans, f. vy(g), f. Du. vijg, vig fig + -ie diminutive suffix.] Any of several small succulent plants belonging to the genus Mesembryanthemum or a closely related genus, or the brightly coloured flower of one of these plants. Also ˈvygebosch [Afrikaans vyebossie].
