‖ Interimsethik Theol.|ˈɪnterɪmzˌeːtɪk| Also in anglicized forms interim-ethic, interim ethic. [G. (Schweitzer, 1901, 1906) interims-, comb. form of interim, provisional, temporary + ethik ethics, ethical values, principles.] The moral principles laid down by Jesus, interpreted as formulated for the guidance of men expecting the imminent end of the world; hence, a code of behaviour for use in a specific, temporary situation.
