ˈisthmian, a. (n.) (see isthmus) Isthmian in specific uses. [f. L. isthmi-us, a. Gr. ἴσθµι-ος of or pertaining to the (or an) isthmus + -an.] 1. Belonging to, situated upon, or forming, an isthmus or neck of land.
