‖ jagt|jakt| [a. Da. jagt (cf. Norw., Sw. jakt) yacht n.] In Scandinavia, a small single-masted coastal vessel, rigged either with square sails or as a cutter or sloop.
1861J. Lamont Seasons with Sea-Horses ii. 22 We saw two small vessels, which we made out to be a brig and a sloop, or ‘jagt’, at some distance amongst the ice. 1906H. W.
