A. adj. Of or pertaining to a homopterous insect of the family Jassidæ, sometimes considered equivalent to the Cicadellidæ, and including several pests of cereals, fodder crops, etc.
B. n. A leaf-hopper, a small, jumping insect of this kind, which attacks the leaves of plants.
