jocoserious, a.|dʒəʊkəʊˈsɪərɪəs| [f. joco- as comb. form of L. jocus joke, jest + serious.] Half jocular, half serious; partly in jest and partly in earnest; blending jokes and serious matters. Hence jocoseriˈosity (nonce-wd.).
