Anacreontic, a. and n.|əˌnækriːˈɒntɪk| [ad. L. anacreontic-us, f. Gr. ἀνακρέων prop. name; cf. mod.Fr. anacreontique.] A. adj. Of, or after the manner of, the Greek poet Anacreon. a. Having the structure or metre of Anacreon's lyrics.
