Malay katja-piring, kachapiring, the Cape jasmine, Gardenia jasminoides.] A South African evergreen shrub of the genus Gardenia, esp. G. thunbergia, belonging to the family Rubiaceæ and bearing large, fragrant, white or yellow flowers.
