kettler, ketler [f. kettle + -er1.] †1. One who mends or repairs kettles, a tinker. Obs.
1604T. M. Black Bk. in Middleton's Wks. (1840) V. 543, I would have the sometimes go disguised (in honest apparel), and so drawing in amongst bunglers and ketlers, under the plain frieze of simplicity [etc.]. 2. A colour-mixer's assistant who attends to the boiling of dyestuffs.
