ˈknee-ˌhalter, v. local, esp. in S. Afr.
To fasten a cord or halter from the head of a beast to its knee, so as to restrain its movements. Hence ˈknee-ˌhaltered ppl. a., ˈknee-haltering vbl. n. Also ˈknee-ˌhalter n., the cord or halter used in doing this.
