kolbeckite Min.|ˈkɒlbɛkaɪt| [ad. G. kolbeckit (F. Edelmann 1926, in Jahrb. f. d. Berg- u. Hüttenwesen in Sachsen C. a74), f. the name of Friedrich Kolbeck (1860–1943), German mineralogist: see -ite1.] A blue hydrated silicate-phosphate of beryllium, calcium, and scandium (and possibly aluminium).
