ˈkonilite Min. [f. Gr. κόνις dust + -lite. So named in 1821 by MacCulloch, who had previously (1819) called it conite, unaware that this had previously (1795) been applied by Retzius to a variety of dolomite.] A powdered form of silica found in the cavities of trap.
