Brit. |ˈkuːdlɪk|, U.S. |ˈkuːdˌlɪk|, Canad. |ˈkuːdˌlɪk| Forms: 18 kotluk, 19– kudlik, 19– qudlik [‹ a variant of Eastern Canadian Inuit qulliq qulliq n.] A soapstone oil lamp of a type traditionally used for light and heat by the Inuit and other peoples of the Arctic.
