witogie S. Afr.|vɪˈtʊəxɪ| Also witoogie, witteoogje. [Afrikaans, f. Du. wit white + oog eye + -ie diminutive suffix.] Any of several birds of the genus Zosterops found in southern Africa, esp. Z. pallidus (formerly Z. capensis).
