Andromeda|ænˈdrɒmɪdə| [Gr., prop. name of the mythical daughter of Cepheus and Cassiopeia, who, when bound to a rock and exposed to a sea-monster, was delivered by Perseus.] 1. One of the constellations of the northern hemisphere, figured to represent the mythical Andromeda.
