Lapsang Souchong|ˈlæpsæŋ suːˈʃɒŋ| [Cf. souchong.] A variety of Souchong China tea with a smoky flavour. Also ellipt. Lapsang. Lapsang is a ‘market name’. In quot. 1942 the spelling Lapseng is erron.
