1. A town in Asia Minor, giving its name to a species of goat, and to its silk-like wool; also to a long-haired variety of cat. Also applied to a variety of rabbit having fine white fur and pink eyes; also ellipt. as n., a rabbit of this variety, its fur or a fabric made from it.
