lentivirus, n. Biol. and Med.|ˈlɛntɪvaɪrəs| [f. L. lent-us slow + -i- + virus n.] Any retrovirus of the subfamily Lentivirinae, infection by which is characterized by a delay in the appearance of any symptoms.
