‖ xanthorrhœa|zænθəʊˈriːə| [mod.L., f. Gr. ξανθός yellow + ῥοία flowing, flow.] 1. Bot. (With capital initial.) A genus of Australian liliaceous plants, some species of which (called grass-trees or grass gum-trees) yield a yellow resin.
