Used attrib. as a term for one of the main palæolithic cultures, post-Acheulian and pre-Mousterian. Hence Levalloisean |-ˈwɑːzɪən|, -ian adjs. Also Levalloisoid |-ˈwɑːzɔɪd| a., related to, or similar to, this culture. Also in Comb., as Levalloiso-Mouˈsterian a.
