lipin Biochem.|ˈlɪpɪn| Also -ine. [f. Gr. λίπ-ος fat + -in1, -ine5.] †a. Any lipid containing nitrogen. (Originally used more specifically: see quot. 1910.) Obs. b. = lipid.
