Lisu, n. and a.|ˈliːˌsuː| Also Lissoo, Lissu, Li su, and varr. Pl. unchanged or Lisus. [Lisu self-designation.] A. n. a. A member of a people indigenous to the mountainous south-western region of China; an ethnic sub-group of the Yi. b. The Tibeto-Burman language of this people. B. adj. Of, pertaining to, or concerned with the Lisu or their language.
