lithosiid, a. and n.|lɪˈθəʊsɪɪd| [ad. mod.L. Lithosiid-æ (see below), f. generic name Lithosia (Fabricius), f. Gr. λίθος stone + -ia1. See -id.] A. adj. Pertaining to the family Lithosiidæ of bombycid moths, called footmen. B. n. A moth of this family; a footman (Cent. Dict.).
