lophophore|ˈləʊfəfɔə(r)| [f. Gr. λόϕο-ς crest + -ϕόρ-ος bearing. (In sense 2, ad. mod.L. Lophophorus.)] 1. Zool. In Polyzoa, the oral disc at the free end of the polypide, bearing the tentacles.
