luculia|luːˈkuːlɪə| [mod.L. (R. Sweet Brit. Flower Garden (1826) II. 145), f. luculi swa native name of L. gratissima in India.] A large deciduous shrub of the genus so called, belonging to the family Rubiaceæ, native to northern India and China, and bearing corymbs of fragrant pink flowers.
