lutz|lʊts| [prob. f. name of Gustave Lussi (1898– ), Swiss figure skater, who invented it.] A jump in ice-skating in which the skater takes off from the outside back edge of one skate and lands, after a complete rotation in the air, on the outside back edge of the opposite skate.
