‖ mala fide, adv. and a.|ˈmeɪleɪ ˈfaɪdiː| [L. malā fidē = ‘in bad faith’. Cf. bona fide.] A. adv. In bad faith. B. adj. Chiefly with agent nouns: Acting in bad faith; pretended, not genuine, sham. mala fide possessor: one who holds by a title which he knows to be bad.
