Also momser, momza, momzer. Pl. mamzeˈrim.
[a. late L. mamzēr, a Heb. word (mamzēr) adopted by the Vulgate in Deut. xxiii. 2 (where it appears with the gloss ‘id est de scorto natus’), and hence frequently used in the Middle Ages.]
A bastard. Also in extended uses as a term of abuse or familiarity.
