Gr. µηρυκισµός rumination, f. µηρυκίζειν to ruminate, f. µηρυκ-, µηρυξ occurring as the name of a ruminating fish.] A rare disease of the stomach, in which the food, after having been swallowed some time, is returned into the mouth and remasticated.
