microphage Phys.|ˈmaɪkrəʊfeɪdʒ| Also microphag. [ad. G. mikrophag (Metchnikoff), f. Gr. µῑκρό-ς small + phag short for phagocyte n.] A certain form of the white blood-corpuscles (see quot. 1903). Also attrib.
