monopetalous, a.|mɒnəʊˈpɛtələs| Also 7 -ose. [f. mod.L. monopetal-us + -ous: see mono- and petal n.] Of a flower: Having the corolla in one piece or the petals united so as to form a tube. (Called also gamopetalous and sympetalous.)
