monoxylous, a.|mɒˈnɒksɪləs| [ad. L. monoxyl-us (a. Gr. µονόξυλος made from a solid trunk, f. µόνο-ς mono- + ξύλ-ον wood, timber, piece of wood) + -ous.] Formed or made out of a single piece of wood; also, using one piece of wood to make a boat or coffin, etc.
