moquette|mɒˈkɛt| Also 8 quasi-It. mocketto. [a. F. moquette; according to Hatz.-Darm. a corruption of mocade mockado.] A material composed of wool and hemp or linen, chiefly used for carpeting. Also moquette carpet.
