myoctonic, a. Chem.|maɪəʊˈktɒnɪk| [f. Gr. µυοκτόν-ος, f. µυ(ο)-, µῦς mouse + -κτόνος slaying: see -ic.] The name of a highly poisonous acid obtained from Palicourea Marcgravii. So myˈoctonine, an alkaloid obtained from Aconitum lycoctonum; hence myoctoˈninic a. = myoctonic.
