myxophycean, a.|mɪksəʊˈfaɪsiːən| [f. mod.L. name of class Myxophyceæ, f. myxo- + Gr. ϕῦκ-ος seaweed + -eæ suffix designating the class (cf. -aceæ).] Belonging or pertaining to the Myxophyceæ or Cyanophyceæ, a class of unicellular or filamentous blue-green algae.
