notarikon Jewish Lit.|nəʊˈtærɪkən| Also notaricon. [late Gr. νοταρικόν, f. L. notārius shorthand-writer, notary n.] In cabalistic phraseology, the art of making a new word from letters taken from the beginning, middle, or end of the words in a sentence.
