nothosaur Palæont.|ˈnɒθəʊsɔː(r)| [f. mod.L. name of suborder Nothosauria, f. generic name nothosaurus (Georg, Graf von Münster 1834, in Neues Jahrb. f. Min. 525).] An extinct marine reptile belonging to the suborder Nothosauria, known from Triassic fossil remains in Europe.
