occupative, a. rare.|ˈɒkjʊpətɪv| [f. L. occupāt-, ppl. stem of occupāre + -ive: cf. F. occupatif (15th c. in Godef.).] Characterized by occupying or being occupied; in Law, held by a tenure based upon occupation (see occupation 1).
