‖ olecranon Anat.|əʊlɪˈkreɪnən| Also 8 -num. [a. Gr. ὠλέκρᾱνον, shortened from ὠλενόκρᾱνον head or point of the elbow, f. ὠλένη elbow + κρᾱνίον head, skull, cranium.] The process or apophysis at the upper end of the ulna, forming the bony prominence at the elbow.
