† omphacine, a. (n.) Obs.|ˈɒmfəsɪn| [f. Gr. ὀµϕάκιν-ος made of unripe grapes, olives, or the like, f. ὄµϕαξ unripe (grape, berry): see -ine2.] 1. In oil omphacine, an oily liquid expressed from unripe olives. Also as n. = oil omphacine.
