‖ opisˈthodomos Gr. Antiq. Also in anglicized form oˈpisthodome. [Gr., f. ὀπισθο- behind + δόµος house, room, chamber.] An apartment at the back of an ancient Greek temple, corresponding to the πρόδοµος, πρόναος, or vestibule in front.
